LinkedIn is a social network specifically designed for career and business professionals to connect and build relationships.  It provides way for employees to connect with higher officials to establish a career of their choosing and again, meet new people.  The people who use LinkedIn are employees, employers, and allows you to promote yourself in the working field.

Some of the LinkedIn features that I like the way you can recommend and endorse people to have an easier way of making more connection.  The purpose of my LinkedIn profile is to put myself out there now and after school I will already have connections in my career.

Pinterest is an online social network that allows its users to share and discover new ideas, inspirations, designs and travel adventures by allowing them to post or “pin” commonly known on Pinterest images to their board. Also allows them to view what others have pinned to their own boards. Pinterest was launched in March 2010 by Ben Silbermann and Evan Sharp and Paul Sciarra but Sciarra left the company in April 2012.  People use Pinterest for party, makeup and hair inspirations, house designs and most importantly DIY ideas.

My Pinterest boards include Philadelphia because that is the city in which I am from, the Philadelphia eagles who are my favorite NFL team and Dragon Ball Z because It was my favorite childhood show and I like anime.

The value of Pinterest is extremely high because it allows its users to explore many new ideas for anything you could possibly think of. I have used Pinterest for many party ideas including birthday and graduation. The things I love about Pinterest is it broadens my ideas on things, some disadvantages of Pinterest is that I wish it had direct links to things to be able to be bought.
